“Sexual Health Competency for Mental Health Professionals"
This is a post-graduate ‘practical’ seminar with a mixture of case consultation and intermediate instruction in Sexual Health Competency for Mental Health Professionals. This seminar is for clinicians who wish to expand and enhance their understanding and utilization of evidence based and best practice approaches to sexuality in their clinical work. The didactic (live instruction) portion of the seminar will consist of six (4) 120-minute meetings once a week to educate and consult on sexual health in the therapy room by reviewing and discussing basic principles and basic interventions. This is designed to be a “small group” setting and enrollment will be capped at 8 participants, and will be rescheduled with less than 3 participants. Upon
completion of the CE Seminar, each participant will receive 8 ASSECT approved CE’s. These CE’s can be used towards AASECT certification or towards annual License renewal requirements.
Though most states accept AASECT CE’s, it is your responsibility to know your states rules.
This seminar is a closed group, meaning once it starts, no other participants will be allowed to join until after the 4 meetings are completed. The meetings will consist of 90 minutes of live review of family therapy sessions, and 30 minutes of consultation for cases brought by participants. Each participant is required to sign a confidentiality agreement (see the last page).
The seminar will meet via zoom.
The cost of this seminar and continuing education is $60/hour. While it is best to attend all meetings, it is not mandatory, but you must attend all to receive all CE credit. Payment may be made in one of two ways:
• Full and upfront - $430 (which includes a 10% discount).
• After each meeting - $120/meeting (totaling $480).
